We waited until Piper was born to share with our friends and family what her name was. When we announced to my family that her name was “Piper,” one of the first things my Dad said “Our little Piper Cub.” I thought, “Our little Piper what??” So I learned then and there that there is a 1940’s classic airplane called a ‘Piper Cub.’ My Dad is a pilot and I grew up flying with him from a very young age. He said he use to take us up in our carseats, ha. Flying with my Dad is such a fond memory of my childhood, so I thought it was so fun that we happened to pick a name that to do with airplanes … just another reason we adore the name Piper.
A couple of months ago I visited Charleston for a girl’s trip with my mom, P, and two sisters. We stopped by Sugar Bake Shop one morning for coffee and pastries, and were completely struck by it’s charm. Of course, every little nook in Charleston is so cute, and I’m obviously dying to go visit again. Click through to see more photos from our morning!
Happy Thursday! This dress meets my two top priorities when shopping for clothes: cute and cozy. I love how soft the fabric is, and how easy it is to throw on. You can dress it up with heels and cute earrings, or if you’re running errands and chasing around a toddler like I am most days, then you can throw on a pair of tennis shoes. It’s one of those dresses that makes me feel like I put effort into getting ready on an average day.
I recently partnered with Fabrik to pick out a few pieces, and I found the perfect blouse for summer and fall. I love sticking to pieces that can stand the test of time, and be styled in multiple seasons, giving you the most bang for your buck.
I’ve found myself leaning towards more neutral colors lately, and I was instantly drawn towards the soft details on this blouse. I’ve loved pairing it with shorts and wedges for the summer months. It’s long sleeved, but light enough that it still keeps you cool. I am already anticipating fall, and I can’t wait to pair it with a pair of jeans and over the knee boots in the cooler months.
Also, this particular blouse is currently on sale! At only $20, it’s a price you don’t want to miss (linked above!)
Hope you all had a great weekend!
