Easter in Pictures | Love Lola

I hope you had a wonderful Easter! I look forward to this weekend every year, and the joy and hope that it brings. It’s funny how having a baby makes you look at things, like holidays, a lot differently. I found myself super conflicted over the easter bunny this year, and we ended up not doing an easter basket. In the coming years we’ll probably bring back the easter basket, but I don’t see the “easter bunny” ever delivering it in our house ;). We did do an egg hunt, and Piper had so much fun searching for eggs. I was so proud of how well she did! They were pretty much all laying out in the open, but she knew to pick them up and put them in the basket. Can she stay 17 months old forever!? I could eat her.

I also couldn’t get over her in her little easter dress. Looking back at these pictures, she is the subject in every single one, ha. So if you aren’t her grandmother or aunt, you might not find this post super intriguing, but a few pictures from Easter anyway…

Mama + Me: Welcome, Spring!

Mama + Me Style: Welcome, Spring | lovelolablog.comThis is by far one of my favorite outfits I have put Piper in. She just kills me in that little bonnet, polka dotted tights, and blue dress. We took these pictures on a chilly morning with my gal pal and photography genius, Jessi Nichols. I’m still not totally sure I trust Spring as to whether it’s here to stay or not. The weather has ranged from the 30’s to the 80’s in the last week, which is really no surprise for early Spring here in the South. We tend to jump fro winter to summer pretty quickly. So we are soaking up every sunny and warm day that we can get before we enter scorching heat. And in the meantime, we have our little bonnets on back up in case it decides to randomly snow on a March evening again ;).Mama + Me Style: Welcome, Spring | lovelolablog.comMama + Me Style: Welcome, Spring | lovelolablog.comMama + Me Style: Welcome, Spring | lovelolablog.comShe’s really into running these days. Greenville has really upped the anty on their coffee situation. It’s about time I updated my “6 Must Visit Coffee Shops in Greenville” post. It’s more like…12 now!! I am recently loving Caviar and Bananas. The decor is on point, the cappucinos are delicious, and their food is out of this world. It’s the perfect little spot to grab a cup of coffee and get some work done, or meet girlfriends for salads or sandwiches, and a glass of wine in the evening. If you live in Greenville, you must check them out! And if you’re local to Charleston, they have a location there as well.

Jeans: Articles of Society | Sweater: ASTYR (sold out, similar) | Shoes: Marc Fisher | Lips: Colourpop Ultra Satin in ‘Frick N Frack

I have been dreaming of spring for quite sometime now, and I have been sporting this look as the weather slowly begins to warm up. The sweater is warm and cozy, yet great for warmer days with it’s airy knitting and open back. I paired it with some platform sandals that I know I am going to be obsessed with all spring.

Also, can we talk about this lip color for a minute? I have always loved a bold pink or red lip, but I have been all about the neutrals lately. This deep warm neutral shade is perfect for the colder months, and literally goes with everything. Also, it’s only 6 freakin’ dollars (!!!). It wears really well for a price that can’t be beat. In these pictures I’m wearing the color Frick N’ Frack, but I also love the colors Magic Wand and Echo Park.
