The third trimester of pregnancy is beautiful and magical, and something I’m sure I’ll miss one day (wink, wink), but it’s also accompanied by sleepless nights, heartburn, exhaustion, and lots of discomfort. I thought I’d share with you guys my favorite products that are getting me by, day by day, until this little nugget comes.
Christmas is just a few days away, and I have the perfect holiday look with Pink Blush Maternity for all you pregnant mamas out there. I am a huge fan of over the knee boots, and I snagged a new pair this year with a much lower heel than my other pair, so they are more every-day and pregnancy friendly. I paired them with a pinkblush maternity sweater, festive earrings and purse. I love this sweater, number one – because it’s back and slimming ;). Number 2 – You don’t have to sacrifice fashion when wearing maternity clothes. I kept my outfit basic and black, and then added fun accessories that really pop. I also pulled out the red lipstick for the holidays ;).
We are back from our stay at Hotel Domestique (can’t wait to share more soon!), and I wanted to share with you guys some of my fashion favorites right now. One of them being this absolutely amazing skirt. I invested in this maternity piece when I was pregnant with Piper (and a dress from the same line), and it has already served me so well through this pregnancy. It is the stretchiest, coziest skirt that will carry you all through your pregnancy. It is not restrictive in the least bit, but still makes you feel inviting and put together. I’ve dressed it up or down, wearing it out and about to run errands, to work, or on date night.
I also love how high it comes, giving the rest of your wardrobe a bit of a longer run. Surprise: this blouse isn’t maternity. A lot of my blouses I can still wear with this piece by tucking them in, hooray! I’m getting to the point where most things are uncomfortable, besides maternity clothes, so I welcome this cozy stretchy skirt. For all you pregnant (or postpartum) mamas, I highly recommend it! You can shop it, here. You’re welcome ;)
Throughout my pregnancy, one thing I discovered is that some people have no filter. That, or they think that it is completely acceptable to throw all manners aside and express their opinion of a pregnant woman’s body and decisions. It really is the most interesting thing. By the end, I had become pretty immune to it and thinking back on the comments can still get a good laugh. I thought I would share some of them here!
“I could tell you were pregnant!” (I was 10 weeks and not even remotely showing…)
“Was this on purpose?
“Look at your little pooch….”
“Any day now!” (When I still had 10 weeks left to go…)
“There’s no way you are going to make it to your due date … you are huge!”
“How are you even walking right now!?” (haha, I think this one was my favorite)
Of course there were the sweet and kind comments too, and much more of those than the negative ones! What are some of the crazy things people have said to you while expecting!?
