When I was pregnant with Fields, I had the privilege of experiencing a prenatal massage with Organic Tan Face and Body. With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it is the perfect gift to celebrate the expecting mama’s in your life. They also have an array of other massage services, for all the mamas in your life that aren’t expecting, too.
Our sweet boy made his debut on his due date, March 28th, at 2:05 am. I can’t believe he’s already been with us for 3 weeks. In many ways, I can’t believe we ever lived without him all while still learning each other and getting into a rhythm as a family of four.
I’ve always loved reading birth stories, and read oodles of them while I was pregnant. I shared Piper’s birth story here, and love having the details in writing to look back on. I’m long winded when it comes to telling the story of my babies, so I’ll try to not make it too long ;). But if you’re interested, keep reading!
When I was at the hospital with Piper, I felt drastically unprepared with what I packed in my hospital bag. It probably didn’t help that I didn’t start packing it until I went in labor ;). This time around, having already experienced the post delivery hospital stay, I felt much more equipped for what you do and don’t need at the hospital, and I’m sharing them both here with you today!
A couple of weeks before my due date, Scofield and I decided to take some spur of the moment maternity pictures. It ended up raining during the entire time we took pictures (so we did them quickly!), but I’m so glad we decided to take them anyway. One set of pictures you’ll never regret are maternity and newborn pictures. It’s such a sweet, special time that lasts just a moment and then is gone. It’s two seasons I want to remember, and I’m so glad I’ll have these pictures to look back on of when baby Fields was still my belly.
I was also planning on having birth photography this go-round, and was so excited about it, but with Fields’ will to get here, there ended up not being any time for it. Maybe next time!
