These pictures are the last of the bump before our baby girl, Piper, arrived. We took them on Friday, and I planned to post on Monday, but our little girl had a mind of her own and decided to show up three days early, before I ever had the chance! All of the pictures with Piper in my belly I will cherish forever. It blows my mind to think she was just doin’ her thing, hanging out inside of me, just a week ago. And now she’s here, sweet as ever, cuddled up on my chest.
From pregnancy to delivery to becoming a mother, this has been the most wonderful experience of my life so far, and I feel beyond blessed and thankful. Hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving weekend!

Here we are at 38 + weeks, and I can hardly believe it is just a matter of days before we have our little girl in our arms!! One thing’s for sure , nesting mode is in full force and we are scrambling to get everything done before she arrives.
The majority of my pregnancy has been during the warmer months, so when fall hit and temperatures dropped I quickly realized my maternity wardrobe was slim. I’m so glad that I invested in this pair of maternity jeans, as they have been a lifesaver this fall season. I’ve gotten by with pairing them with a cardigan, or with a maternity top and boots, like this look above. Not to mention these jeans are so comfy I could live in them. Comfort is everything when you’re this close to the end!
Since it doesn’t really make sense to buy maternity sweaters and winter clothes that can only be worn for a couple of weeks, I’ve instead focused on investing in accessories that freshen my wardrobe and can be worn after pregnancy. This jord wood watch [pictured above] has quickly become a favorite accessory. I love how it can be dressed up or down, and how it goes with everything! And the way it fits is not affected by this growing belly ;).

I recently returned from a few days away at North Topsail Island in North Carolina with family. I was so sad because Scofield had to stay home for work, but it was great to see my cousins and spend extended time with my sister and parents. We seem to be starting a trend of taking beach vacations at the end of the summer every year, and I definitely think I like it that way. Less crowds, not as much heat … which I am especially thankful for being 27 weeks pregnant.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I can’t believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I mean, 27 weeks!? Almost the third trimester!? Whaaaat? Sometimes this realization causes a mild panic attack ;), and other times I am giddy with excitement. It’s also crazy how much growth and change I have seen in my body in just the last few weeks. I went away for just a few days, and Scofield commented on how much bigger I look. And I believe it, because some of those more uncomfortable symptoms are starting to kick in. Heart burn, sleepless nights, and going to the bathroom ALL THE TIME are just a few of them. Exercise has also become really painful, so I’ve had to take my sad attempt of a jog down to a slow, slow easy walk.
Other than that, can you believe that the summer is almost over!? One last beach trip for us, and then I am so excited to welcome fall! Bring on all the pumpkin spice lattes, apples, and cooler days ;)
