On Thursday, Scofield and I celebrated four years of marriage and I can hardly believe it. Four years feels like a big number. Ya know, like we’ve really made it … four years of marriage. Do we get a medal or something?? I’m sure we’ll look back in 20 years and think “ha, remember when we thought we knew about marriage and what we were doing after only four years? kids.” It’s true, we’re kids. And only by God’s grace do we have the marriage, commitment, and love that we do. We are so thankful for the community, mentors, and friends who are an example of a healthy, loving relationship to us.
This picture was taken around our anniversary last year, when Piper was just a dream and a little bean growing in my belly. I was just 6 months pregnant then, and now she’s out in the world and already 6 months old. It’s amazing what can happen in just one year. We’re no longer just friends and spouses, but now we’re parents together. Crazy. Amazing. Wonderful. All the things.
Here’s to this adventure together. I can’t wait to see what the next year, and 20 years, hold.
