I struggle so much with dry, flaky skin and chapped lips in the winter. But, I’ve found if I’m really on top of it by caring for my lips, it makes a huge difference. There’s a few products that have been lifesavers for me, and I use religiously in the winter months. Keep reading for how to keep your lips hydrated and healthy.
It’s so important to include a lip exfoliator in your lip routine. I love this one by Sara Happ. There are lots of yummy flavors to choose from, and it smells amazing. Apply it 1-2x/week to remove dead skin and reveal clean, fresh lips underneath.
I swear this stuff is magical. It’s like ultra-moisture in a bottle. When my lips are really dry, I’ll use the lip scrub before bed, then apply this lip sleeping mask and wear while I sleep. It’s still on in the morning and my lips are like new. If my lips are really chapped, I’ll keep it in my purse and appy it during the day too.
We pretty much end up consuming anything we put on our lips, so I’ve been making sure to purchase cleaner, safer products. I love this lip conditioner by beautycounter (Scofield does too!). I know its safe to kiss my babies with it, it smells amazing, and seriously works. I love that it soothes and softens lips with peppermint and rosemary oils. I’ll definitely be including it in my labor and delivery bag when the baby comes, since peppermint is suppose to help with nausea (and I was so nauseous last time!).
There you have it, my tried and true lip routine. What products are staples in your routine!?
