The Owlet Baby Monitor has quickly made the top of my must-have baby products list. If you haven’t heard of it, it is a little monitor you place on your baby’s foot, like a sock, that uses hospital technology to monitor your baby’s oxygen levels and heart rate. If their levels drop below normal, an alarm will alert you.
As a first time mom, who is already prone to anxiety, I have spent far much time worrying about all the bad things that could happen. I remember those first couple months, before we had the Owlet, when stress and anxiety interfered with my nights. We would finally get Piper down to sleep, and I would be exhausted but couldn’t sleep myself. I’d be too busy leaning over the bassinet, checking every few minutes to make sure she was breathing.
Now, since she has started to roll over, I am especially thankful to have the Owlet. That girl moves all over the crib in the night, and when I wake up in the morning she’ll often be on her tummy. With the Owlet monitor at work, I can go to sleep peacefully knowing it will alert me if there are any problems.
I have found this to be an invaluable gift, and think it would make the perfect Mother’s Day gift for any mamas of little ones you may know. I know Scofield loves it too, both for the well being of our girl, but also for a well rested wife which keeps the sleep-deprived crazy at bay ;).
Owlet is offering $25 OFF for all my readers, if you order through this link. If you are stumped on what to buy for Mother’s Day, you can’t go wrong with this invaluable gift!
