I’m so excited to finally share our entryway with you today! I feel like this little space has been a labor of love over the past couple of months. When we moved into our house we had SO many spaces that needed to be redone, that the entryway just kind of got pushed to the curb. Once we finished our living room and our kitchen (which I can’t wait to share soon!), I started brainstorming the next space I wanted to work on. When also considering our limited budget with a new baby on the way, I thought it would be the perfect time to tackle the entryway, because it is a much smaller space to re-do than an entire room after all.
When I started the design process, the first piece I added was this one of a kind vintage turkish rug from Cord and Cotton. I’ve always loved these style of rugs, and this one fell perfectly into our color and decor theme in the rest of our home. A lot of the rugs are smaller area rugs, so it fit the small entryway space perfectly.
Isn’t she a beauty!?
I’m hooked on fresh eucalyptus. It adds so much color and life to a space, and smells amazing. I always pick up a bouquet at trader joe’s for only 3 bucks!
Scofield picked out the lamp (didn’ the do a great job!?), and we recycled this vintage gold mirror that was in our bedroom (and was once my grandmother’s).
The hardest part was finding the right table to fit the space. Most console tables I looked at were too wide or too long, but I finally found the perfect one (at a great price!) from wayfair. The gold matches the mirror and other little elements from our living room, and the faux marble ties in the coffee table from our living room as well. If you have an awkwardly small entryway space like us, you can shop the table here.
I’d highly recommend checking out Cord and Cotton. Each rug is unique, so there’s no two alike. I love bright colors in my home, but even for those who like more neutral styles, there is a wide range of color selection, including muted neutral rugs. I’m already searching for a runner for our hallway that will compliment our entryway rug. If you’re local to Greenville, they offer free local pickup/delivery, or they’ll ship nationwide. Julia at Cord and Cotton always posts new inventory to instagram, so I’m always scouring her profile ;).
There it is, our new little entryway space that I love so much. Now I’m wondering why it took me so long to prioritize this space, because after all, it is the first thing people see when they walk in the door. I’m now convinced a solid entryway sets the tone for the rest of your home. Our home already feels more ‘homey’ and complete. Thanks for stopping by!
