I’m finally getting around to sharing our wintry front porch decor! I planned to share it a while ago, but sheesh – sometimes time just gets away from you! So even though my mind is thinking towards spring and warm weather, I still wanted to share some of our winter decor on the blog.

My sweet mother-in-law actually decorated our porch in time for Piper’s first birthday party, as a birthday gift to me (Piper’s birthday is just a day before mine!). She captured my style and vision perfectly. It is simple, with a lot of greenery and gold, just how I like it :). And can you believe she put together that amazing magnolia wreath from scratch!? Obsessed. Sadly, it is no longer with us, but it was beautiful all through the holiday season!

I love how our porch transitioned perfectly from fall, to Christmas, to a January winter. In November we had gold spray painted pumpkins, both big and small, and pinecones. For Christmas we added the garland and threw out the pumpkins (they were rotting – whoops), and then for January we’ve taken down the garland again and sadly said goodbye to our wreath.

I’ve never given much thought to the exterior decor of our house, because I am always working on the inside, but after this little project I might be hooked. Already thinking through plans for a spring front porch!

So cute! We just moved and our front porch (and the rest of the outside) needs A LOT of work. This is great inspiration. I can’t wait to see what you come up with in the spring!
