Safer, healthier beauty and skincare is something that has been on my heart and mind for a while now. I started thinking about it a couple years ago, when I was pregnant with Piper as I worried myself senseless about every product I used on and put into my body. As I prepared for her birth, I made sure to only buy the most natural, safe baby products I could find. Having Piper was kind of like a wake up call to the safety of everyday products we use, and got the wheels in my mind turning.
I’ve always been really cautious about the foods I put into my body, and now into my baby girl’s body, but around this time I started to realize the disconnect when I realized I didn’t have the same stance when it came to the products used on my body. I have always been cautious about what I eat because of the way it affects my organs, etc. But when I really thought about the fact that our skin is an organ (and the largest one at that!), I became more and more passionate about what I used on my skin.
Being really picky about the products I use (hello adult acne!) I was a little skeptical about the performance of beautycounter products at first. But once I tried it, I fell head over heels with the products and felt a tug deep inside to join the mission. Now, as a beautycounter consult, I’m so excited to share with you guys products I love, that are both safe and effective.
So you might be asking, what makes beautycounter so special?
I had this question at first too. Well, for one, what’s legal to put into makeup products has not been reformed since 1938! What!? This basically means that companies can put just about anything in their makeup products, causing hormone disruption, affecting fertility, and even causing cancer. Beautycounter on the other hand follows strict ingredient guidelines and has banned more than 1,500 unsafe ingredients (similar to European beauty standards), making it one of the safest lines out there.
Along with safety, they also highly value quality. Beautycounter works with high end makeup artists from makeup lines like Chanel, to make sure all of their proucts are high performance and luxury. And the fact that had the biggest pull on convincing me to switch over most of my products…all products sold by beautycounter are safe for pregnant women, breastfeeding moms, and babies. So much less to worry ourselves sick over!
I am so excited to be a part of this company and to get to share it with you guys. If you are interested in learning more, have any questions about the products or want to try something, you can email me or shop through my website http://www.beautycounter.com/laurenfoster. Or if you have any questions about the business side, I’d love to share that with you as well! As always, thank you so much for all of your support! xoxo
